If you’re a reader of this blog, you know that Court Square is one of the most rapidly changing areas of New York City, and that Purves Street is (Chris Treager voice) *literally*1 one of the most active blocks in the City.2

That has resulted in the formation of the Purves Street Block Association. The group is dedicated to “improving the quality of life in our rapidly changing neighborhood.” Their latest meeting will be on Monday, March 31 at 5:30 p.m. at the SculptureCenter, located at 44-19 Purves Street. Light refreshments will be served.

The agenda for the upcoming meeting includes:

  • Meet our new neighbors
  • Meet new property owners David Brause and David Picket
  • Block Party – Saturday August 2nd – Save the Date!
  • SculptureCenter to fully reopen in the fall!

So if you’re a resident of Purves Street, RSVP to Frederick Janka at rsvp@sculpture-center.org, or by phone at 718-361-1750. If you’re interested in joining the mailing list, try CoCo Dorneanu at CocoDorneanu2@gmail.com.
