Blissville closes, M. Wells to take over at Dutch Kills

Blissville, a restaurant in LIC’s Dutch Kills cocktail bar at 27-24 Jackson Avenue, closed recently, and Canadian chef Hugue Dufour’s M. Wells group will take over the spot, a source with knowledge of the situation told The Court Square Blog.

The space is currently vacant, and M. Wells will assume control “in about a month,” the source said.

Blissville opened quietly inside the cocktail bar in 2012, and exited in the same fashion. The restaurant previously offered sandwiches, cheese plates and macaroni.1

The space will be Dufour’s third in the Court Square area, joining M. Wells Dinette inside MoMA PS1 and M. Wells Steakhouse, located across the street from Linc LIC.

  1. Dufour is like a cancer in Court Square. A delicious, bacon wrapped cancer, spreading through the neighborhood like a foie gras pâté, drizzled with truffle oil. Hahaha.
