If you were trying to park on Pearson Place or Thompson Avenue this morning, you were greeted with flyers and noticed that said, well, that you couldn’t.
That’s because the TV mini-series “The Knick” reserved the blocks for filming. The production is directed by Steven Soderbergh and stars, among others, Steve Garfanti and Clive Owen. The description says the mini-series is a “look at the professional and personal lives of the staff at New York’s Knickerbocker Hospital during the early part of the twentieth century.”1 I guess they cleared the block because there weren’t many Toyota Prius hybrids bopping around back then.
