Artists collaborate to hang banner outside former 5Pointz building

A banner was hung outside the old 5Pointz building

Last night, artists gilf! and BAMN collaborated to hang a yellow banner around the old 5Pointz building at 45-46 Davis Street which read “Gentrification in Progress.”¹

Demolition began at the site earlier in the month² after Jerry Wolkoff’s highly controversial decision to whitewash the art back in mid-November. When all is said and done, there will be two luxury rental high-rises.
