Blue Bloods will be filming in Court Square

H/T to loyal TCSB reader Amadeo Plaza, who spotted no parking signs for Blue Bloods around the Court Square area and sent us the above photo. Cars will need to be moved by Sunday at 10 p.m. for a Monday shoot. Of course, not all residents are happy with another shoot coming to our beloved Long Island City enclave.1

Here’s the series description via Wikipedia:2

The series follows the Irish-American Reagan family of police officers with the New York City Police Department (NYPD). Francis “Frank” Reagan (Tom Selleck) is the Police Commissioner. He was a U.S. Marine Corps officer and a Vietnam veteran before he joined the NYPD. He is a widower whose son Joe died in the line of duty, leaving him three remaining adult children—Danny, Erin, and Jamie.

  1. Being as I don’t have a car anymore, I actually don’t mind the film crew attention. Anything for the neighborhood to become more widely recognized by the greater population.

  2. I have a car and don’t mind the occasional filming. But the number has gotten way out of hand. Walking around last weekend I counted four different shoots for the beginning of the week. Blue Bloods, Believe, Michael J Fox, Person of Interest, SVU, and about three others are regularly filming – all within the Hunters Point area.
