Shih and Skinny Lee, who own Asian fusion restaurant Shi on Center Boulevard, plan on opening a restaurant at 27-26 Jackson Avenue, a source has told The Court Square Blog. The source spoke on condition of anonymity because the source is not authorized to speak publicly on the matter.
The 2,500 square foot lot, which is owned by Rockrose, will likely house a Japanese restaurant. The Lees plan on opening the restaurant at the end of the year, the source said. A Rockrose spokesman had previously told us on March 26 and again on Wednesday that no deal had been formalized yet.
Aside from Shi, located at 47-20 Center Blvd, the Lees also own Skinny’s Cantina, a Mexican restaurant and bar, at 47-05 Center Blvd.
The story was first reported by LIC Post earlier today.1
