Earlier in the week, our friends over at Queens Brownstoner noted that building permits were approved for 11-35 45th Avenue, dubbed ‘Murray Park North.’1 Well, the builders didn’t waste any time, because after the permits were approved on April 7, they immediately started rolling construction vehicles and material into the demolished lot (first photo below).
On top of that, a new rendering (second photo below) was posted earlier in the week. When all is said and done, the project will deliver a six-story, 39-unit residential building.2 And, as you can see from the third photo down, construction is slated to finish spring of 2016.
The thing is, it is actually MURRAY PLAYGROUND that it faces, not Murray Park. What is it with developers who feel the need to rename places that have been around for years? I guess calling it Murray Playground North isn’t luxrious enough.
