We’ve already heard plenty about the Food Cellar that will occupy the corner of Crescent and 23rd Street in Linc LIC.1
But there’s a lesser known commercial space on the corner of Crescent and 45th Avenue that is also contained within the Linc. We’ve heard through multiple sources that the space will eventually turn into a nail salon, though a Rockrose spokesman told us that nothing has been confirmed yet. Rockrose still has that property listed as being available for “immediate occupancy” on their website.2
As you can see from the second photo below, the interior of the retail space looks more like a storage area than anything else, so it doesn’t look like that nail salon (or anything else) will be opening anytime soon.
C’moooon Starbucks. Hahaha.
What’s going on with the food cellar? I don’t see any progress on it.
Food Cellar is so overpriced it makes Whole Foods seem reasonable. What’s with the neighborhood monopoly?
I don’t know if it’s the developers or the LIC governing board that’s keeping this neighborhood from thriving. Something needs to be done.
