*Rain or Shine*On Saturday, May 17th, Vernon Boulevard will be closed to vehicle traffic between 50th Avenue and 46th Avenue to create the first LIC Springs! free community block festival! The event is planned through NYCDOT’s Weekend Walks program.
Activities will include exercise and dance classes, musical performances, sculpture-making, lego-buildng and more! See below for the list of participants, performances, and activities. In addition to the festival programs, visitors can explore the neighborhood and experience other events taking place that day including the LIC Arts Open festival running May 14-18, and the LIC Flea outdoor market.
