Rockrose cleans up exterior of 25-20 43rd Avenue

Back in mid-March, we spotted construction crews working around the interior of 25-20 43rd Avenue, a building owned by Rockrose.1 Well, we saw more crews recently, and this time, they were working on the exterior. To put it politely, the building wasn’t exactly eye catching before, with graffiti covering the building. The crews have taken care of that, as you an see in the ‘before’ and ‘after’ photos.

While there is no construction going on and no permits have been filed with the Department of Buildings, Rockrose president Justin Elghanayan mentioned to The Court Square Blog back in March vague plans of turning this into a residential building.2

According to records, Rockrose created 25-20 43rd Avenue LLC in February,3 and Queens Brownstoner notes that Rockrose paid a handsome sum of $8 million for the building.4 QBS also notes that the property itself has a FAR of 5, even though the current building only has a FAR of 1.52.5
