Add the New York City Fire Department to the scores of people who are irked at the former 5Pointz building. On June 17, the FDNY left the below letter on the property, expressing its displeasure that it couldn’t access the building for inspection.
There’s been virtually no activity on the buildings since we saw construction crews doing asbestos abatement back in March.1 No additional permits on Jerry Wolkoff’s highly controversial project at 45-46 Davis Street have been filed since then, either.2
When all is said and done, there will be two luxury rental high-rises 47 and 41 stories tall, containing around a thousand luxury apartments.3
