Roughly two weeks after construction crews erected a fence around the 25-05 43rd Avenue site, workers demolished the two story building that previously occupied the lot.1 As you can see in the photo below, the white building was reduced to a pile of wood late last week.
When all is said and done, a shiny new nine story mixed-used building with 20,119 square feet of residential space and 2,756 of retail space will occupy the lot.2 According to the permits, this project has been in the works since August, 2011.
