Rockrose will kick off its new event in Court Square, The Lot LIC Music and Film Series, today from 3-9 p.m. at 43-29 Crescent Street.1 The first event will feature musical artists Sinkane and Takuta Kuroda. Two festival producers with years of experience are joining with M. Wells Steakhouse to bring music, film and food to an empty lot next to the chop house on fifteen nights during what organizers are calling “The Lot LIC Music and Film Series.” […] The concerts will kick off at the beginning of August, and run on Thursdays and Saturdays through the end of September, an end of the summer series specifically designed to avoid competition with the city’s larger events, many of which peter out in August.
