Construction crews are moving ahead with demolition at 45-46 Davis Street, the former home of 5Pointz. Since demolition began in late August, crews have laid waste to one of the buildings in the rear of the lot, are currently working on the middle of the lot, as seen in the photos below. Crews have also erected plywood fences that surround the site on Davis and Crane Streets. The Jackson Avenue side of the building is the only part without a plywood fence now. Demolition will take approximately four months to complete at the controversial project.1
When all is said and done, the project will deliver 800 luxury condos and 200 affordable units along with a new public park, over 50,000 square feet of retail space and a 250 space public parking garage.2
