We stopped by to visit our very good friend John Veenema over the weekend to check in on progress at The Beast Next Door.1 He had told us in September that he was going to try to open before the end of the month, but that deadline has gotten pushed back as he waits for permit approvals.2
That being said, Veenema said he was confident that the bar/cafe would be open within the next month. Here are a few of the latest shots inside the bar to tide you over until then.
