Things have gone completely quiet at 21-16 44th Drive site. Earlier in the year, the site had plenty of momentum as a one-story building was demolished and the site even had a rendering up.1 But progress has completely stalled since May, and now a chain-link fence has appeared on the site, suggesting that it may go vacant for the foreseeable future. We recently checked the building permits, and nothing new has been filed after the initial demolition permit.2
The project is not without controversy, as nearby residents are concerned by the building based on the track record of the developer.345
