The comedy ensemble ‘By The Mummers’ return to The Secret Theatre in Long Island City to bring a bit of holiday cheer December 11-14 with William Gibson’s The Butterfingers Angel, Mary & Joseph, Herod the Nut, & The Slaughter of 12 Hit Carols in a Pear Tree. Presenting the story of Mary and Joseph and the birth of Jesus from a fresh and richly creative point of view, the play combines a series of cleverly constructed short scenes, traditional Christmas music and antic characterizations into a wholly original theatre piece.
Performances of The Butterfingers Angel, Mary & Joseph, Herod the Nut, & The Slaughter of 12 Hit Carols in a Pear Tree will take place at The Secret Theatre December 11-13 at 8pm and December 14 at 7pm. Tickets are only $15 and available at bythemummers.com.
