42-12 28th Street begins to rise

We last checked in on 42-12 28th Street back in October, when crews were laying the foundation for the building.1 When we stopped by last week, we saw that the building has begun to rise, with rebar protruding from the ground, as seen in two photos below. It won’t be long before construction moves skyward on the lot, projected to be Queens’ tallest building.

When all is said and done, the project will rise to be 58 stories and house 477 units. The building will rise 596 feet, and amenities include ground-floor retail, storage, bike storage, parking, a third-floor pool, gym and roof terraces on the 45th and 58th floors.2
