New York-based instrumental ensemble Das Audit will perform a selection of new compositions. Formed in 2014, the group takes an organic approach to composition, devising compact improvisational structures motivated by the physical properties of sound, classical composition, folk and traditional music, and rhythmic play. The performance will feature two sets with a brief intermission and will be followed by a reception.
Das Audit is comprised of John Anderson (percussion), Eve Essex (alto sax/flutes), Craig Kalpakjian(guitar), and Sean Keenan (bass). Recent appearances include Greene Naftali, New York, and Trans Pecos, Queens, among others. A recent composition “Chorale” will be released on artist Peter Coffin’s “Music For Plants vol. 3.”
