Construction crews have nearly laid waste to 44-46 Purves Street, formerly a two-story warehouse at the dead end of Purves Street. Demolition started back in February pursuant to a DOB permit filed in late 2014.1
But the real news out of the site is a permit filed earlier in the week, which calls for an 11-story, 49-unit build with a FAR of 8.0.2 We had originally heard rumblings about a hotel in that space, but the permit calls for a purely residential build. The architect on the project is Gerald J. Caliendo.
The building was purchased for $4,137,500 last year.3
