On April 1, Rockrose received approval from the Department of Buildings on their project at 43-22 Queens Street a/k/a “Eagle Loft.” The permits call for 587,860 square feet of residential space and 34,477 square feet of commercial space.1 Eventually, a tower will rise 54 stories and contain 783 units. Permits were initially filed back on July 7.
Work has been underway since last year on the site, and Rockrose will preserve some of the old electric factory that used to be in its place. The last time we were at the site, crews had erected pipe scaffolding around the building.2
The Real Deal reported in 2013 that the anticipated prices for the rental building will run $1,800 for a studio, $2,600 for a one-bedroom and $3,400 for a two-bedroom.3 No delivery date yet on the project.
