Demolition is nearly complete at 42-83 Hunter Street, the former home of a one-story warehouse. Permits approved by the Department of Buildings on March 12, 2015 call for an 8-story, 15 unit purely residential build with a FAR of 4.93.1 That works out to 12,336 square feet of residential space.
New York YIMBY first spotted the permits back in December, which were filed right before the new building code took effect.2
