Renderings disappear at Crowne Plaza Hotel construction site

Back in September, we noted that everything has gone quiet at 25-10 42nd Road, which at one point had been slated as a future Crowne Plaza hotel.1 Originally, the plan was to deliver in 2016, but when we walked by last week, not only was the site still quiet, the renderings which dotted the construction fence were now gone. At this point, the future of the site is murky at best.

Here were the original details on the building courtesy of Queens Brownstoner:2

The 11-story hotel will have 224 rooms, banquet facilities, a conference center, a rooftop bar and a “grand ballroom” for as many as 300 guests. The ground floor will also hold a restaurant, bar and lounge area, a banquet hall and an outdoor eatery. Royal Hotels and Resorts is behind the development.
