Earlier this month, we checked in at 24-12 42nd Road and found a new rendering on the site and noted that the DOB approved permits on the site on April 17.1 Construction has officially begun, with construction crews beginning the excavation stage as seen in photos below.
According to New York YIMBY (who was the first to obtain renderings of the project), the building is being developed by the Ampiera Group, and the architect of record is My-Architecture.2 The developers filed an application for an eight story build that contains 29,403 of residential space and 4,328 of commercial space.3 The building is zoned for a FAR of 5.0.
