Checking in at 43-22 Queens Street, future home of Rockrose’s Eagle Loft

Work is moving along at 43-22 Queens Street, future home of Rockrose’s Eagle Loft. Permits were approved on the project on April 1, with permits calling for 587,860 square feet of residential space and 34,477 square feet of commercial space.1 Initially, construction was focused around the outer fringes of the lot. But more recently, demolition appears to have wrapped at the center of the lot as seen in the third picture, where a tower will rise 54 stories and contain 783 units.2

Work has been underway since last year on the site, and Rockrose will preserve some of the old electric factory that used to be in its place. The last time we were at the site, crews had erected pipe scaffolding around the building.3
