Rendering appears at 5Pointz site as DOB approves permits

Work at 22-24 Jackson Avenue, better known as the former site of 5Pointz, is underway.1 The Department of Buildings approved permits for the site on May 6, for a 48 story build with 977,086 square feet of residential space and 39,765 feet of commercial space for a total FAR of 8.00.2 Last week, construction crews also put up a new rendering on site, which parallels the renderings first unearthed by New York YIMBY in July, 2014.3

According to the rendering, work will complete on the site in winter, 2017.

  1. I really can’t get over how ugly they are! I’m not even a 5pointz hater, I’m for development and progress, but lic can do better. Between that and the Pink Panther my neighborhood is going to need a facelift.
