Celebrate 4th of July in LIC!

There’s plenty to do before, during, and after Macy’s fireworks show on the East River. Take a stroll through the neighborhood, soak up some local color, and paint the town red, white and blue with these LIC activities:

Rockaway Brewery Running Tour

Join City Running Tour for a guided running tour to see Long Island City in a unique way. This 4-mile route, led at a casual pace, will feature beautiful views of Manhattan along the Waterfront, the history of the Queensboro Bridge and stops at cultural landmarks like PS1, Silvercup Studios and Socrates Sculpture Park. LIC Food & Flea Night Market

A rocking flea & food market plus beer & wine garden will be alongside the greatest fireworks show in the nation. LIC Flea will be hosting their first-ever night market on Saturday, July 4, fromnoon-10:30PM. Located just 1 block behind the iconic Pepsi-Cola sign, the market has the biggest selection of food and flea vendors in Queens plus an All-Queens Beer Garden. Vista Sky Lounge 4th of July Party

Z NYC 4th of July

The Z NYC waterfront will once again explode with excitement this 4th of July. Join the Z Hotel as they open their rooftop lounge to the public. Enjoy a spectacular view of the East River and watch the Macy’s fireworks show in all its glory. Admission is $175 per person, which includes full food service. 4th July Rooftop Bash at Penthouse 808

The Macy’s Fireworks Show

The big show is scheduled to begin at 9:20PM. Please note: 48-50th Avenue, the area right in front of Hunters Point South Park and the park itself, will be closed to the public. More info on the planned road closures can be found by clicking here.
