Permit filed for Douglas Elliman sales office in 26-14 Jackson Avenue retail space

Back in May, we noticed signage up at the southern half of the retail space at 26-14 Jackson Avenue for a Douglas Elliman sales office.1 On June 25, a permit was filed with the Department of Buildings confirming the project, calling for “A TEMPORARY USE PERMIT FOR A SALES OFFICE PURSUANT TO SECTION AC 28-111 AND BUILDINGS BULLETIN 2010-002. NO CHANGE TO USE, EGRESS, OR OCCUPANCY.”2

The sales office will be used for Douglas Elliman’s “Dutch” project at 25-19 43rd Avenue in Long Island City, which is still currently under construction.3 According to signage, studio, one and two-bedroom condos will be available starting in the $460,000 range. The second space on the north side of 26-14 Jackson Avenue remains vacant.
