Earlier in July, we noted that construction had risen over the fence at 27-07 43rd Avenue, future home of a Hyatt Hotel.1 But progress had stalled for several weeks.
When we checked the DOB bin, we saw a work stop order based on the fact that “NO SIDEWALK SHED INSTALLED BLDG WALL APPROX 15′-0 HEIGHT & EXTEND PASS CONSTRUCTION FENCE AT EXPO 1 & 2.”2
Construction crews on site last week worked to fix that problem, and as you can see in the photo below, a sidewalk shed has now been installed. Work inside the actual site should start up again soon.
When all is said and done, the building will turn into a 9-story Hyatt Hotel with 108 hotel rooms and nearly 50,000 square feet commercial space.3 According to the rendering, construction will wrap sometime in spring, 2016.
