We got a couple of clues as to what Amerigo will be when we stopped by 44-64 21st Street last week. A new help wanted sign there is looking for someone to man the deli, coffee station and pizza station (along with the cashier). The sign is obviously also prelude to the eatery opening in the near future.
We were able to take a peek inside at construction in early August, and things look mostly ready to go.1
Looking forward to being able to get a slice around there. Hope it’s good.
In the case of food cellar, having a help wanted sign means nothing. Have you noticed that NO ONE has gone in or out in about 2 weeks?
What’s hilarious is that if you shop at the Food Cellar at the waterfront, the bags now list both locations! Its like they are mocking us.
I will be very disappointed if this place doesn’t open before Never Cellar
