Domino’s Pizza became the latest *ahem* domino to fall as a result of frenetic construction in Court Square. The fast food pizza joint closed shop at 5 Court Square last week, and construction crews took down signage in front of the store, as seen in the picture below. ENC Market also closed earlier in the month.1 Montessori Kids of LIC is the other business in the building.
Eventually, the two-story building will be demolished, and an 11-story mixed use building will rise in its place pursuant to permits that were approved on Oct. 22.2 The new build will have 73 units with 57,914 square feet of residential space and 4,994 square feet of commercial space for a FAR of 7.97.
