Demolition wraps at 11-51 47th Avenue

A special H/T goes to our friend Amadeo Plaza, who let us know that Fogarty Finger released some new renderings of future construction at 11-51 47th Avenue a/k/a ‘The Jackson.’ Demolition completed recently on the site, as seen in the photo below. Permits call for 52,728 square feet of residential space and 1,280 square feet of commercial space.¹ On site signage calls for an October 1, 2017 delivery on the mixed-use building.²

The website describes the project like this: “Fogarty Finger designed this new, 56-unit, condominium building in Long Island City located very close to MoMA PS1 that evokes the industrial past of the neighborhood. The exposed concrete columns and beams create a primary grid, while the metal slab covers and wood infill panels along the façade create warm, tactile, material layers which contrast the concrete.”³
