A special H/T goes to our friend Amadeo Plaza, who let us know that Fogarty Finger released some new renderings of future construction at 11-51 47th Avenue a/k/a ‘The Jackson.’ Demolition completed recently on the site, as seen in the photo below. Permits call for 52,728 square feet of residential space and 1,280 square feet of commercial space.1 On site signage calls for an October 1, 2017 delivery on the mixed-use building.2
The website describes the project like this: “Fogarty Finger designed this new, 56-unit, condominium building in Long Island City located very close to MoMA PS1 that evokes the industrial past of the neighborhood. The exposed concrete columns and beams create a primary grid, while the metal slab covers and wood infill panels along the façade create warm, tactile, material layers which contrast the concrete.”3
