The Department of Buildings issued another work stop order at 42-60 Crescent Street in December. The construction site went dark over the summer due to a contractor withdrawal, with facade work on the south side of the building still outstanding.1 Once work resumed in late 2015, construction crews erected pipe scaffolding on the unfinished part of the building, and that appears to be part of the work stoppage. “WORK W/O A PERMIT – TEMP STANDPIPE ERECTED AND PLACED AT CONSTRUCTION FENCE WITHOUT A PERMIT,” the order says.2
On site signage calls for a fall 2015 delivery, but multiple sources with knowledge of the situation told TCSB in October that spring of 2016 is now the expected delivery date. Sales have proceeded to the sixth through eight floors on TheFactoryHouse.com. According to the DOB permit, when all is said and done, there will be 44,006 square feet of residential space with 2,309 square feet of ground floor commercial space.3
