Low-incoming housing signage appears at 44-72 11th Street

We last checked in on 44-72 (a/k/a 44-80) Street when signage had appeared on the project in December.1 When we stopped by last week, we saw that the construction fence has been taken down, and also there’s signage on site directing people interested in applying for low-income housing to 44thdrive.com. Studios are going for as low as $565 per month if the renters total income comes out to $20,743 – $24,200. On the other end of the spectrum is two bedrooms for $971 for $33,292 – $43,150.

Here are the details of the site, courtesy of Queens Brownstoner:2

GF55 Partners (also the architects behind nearby condo building The Foundry) designed this eight-story, 105-unit rental development. Construction will start next month and last 15 months. Once finished, building amenities will include a gym, laundry, bike room, parking, and a second floor landscaped courtyard with benches and a trellised area with a BBQ.

  1. It appears that there are two entrances, one on the corner of 11th & 45th, the other on 44th. Does that mean the Affordable Housing tenants have to use a separate entrance?

    • Do you know have they started to give apartments to low income.Or bulding is open for every one.I saw some of tenet are living there,
