We last checked in on 44-72 (a/k/a 44-80) Street when signage had appeared on the project in December.1 When we stopped by last week, we saw that the construction fence has been taken down, and also there’s signage on site directing people interested in applying for low-income housing to 44thdrive.com. Studios are going for as low as $565 per month if the renters total income comes out to $20,743 – $24,200. On the other end of the spectrum is two bedrooms for $971 for $33,292 – $43,150.

GF55 Partners (also the architects behind nearby condo building The Foundry) designed this eight-story, 105-unit rental development. Construction will start next month and last 15 months. Once finished, building amenities will include a gym, laundry, bike room, parking, and a second floor landscaped courtyard with benches and a trellised area with a BBQ.
