The last time we checked in at 27-17 42nd Road (a/k/a 28-02 42nd Road) was in July when foundation work had just begun on the site.1 When we stopped by last week, we saw that the project has not moved along much since then, with rebar just starting to sprout from the ground, as seen in the photo below.
The former site of the proposed “Star Tower” back in 2008 had been vacant for many years before the lot sold for a princely sum in 2014.2 A new round of permits were approved on the site in December, 2014.3
