In September, our very good friends over at LICTalk were the first to report that a Chipotle was headed for the northern retail space at 26-14 Jackson Avenue.1 This was later confirmed by LIC Post, which said that the targeted opening date was spring of 2016.2
With spring approaching, we stopped by 26-14 Jackson Avenue and peeked inside the space, and noted that construction hasn’t started yet. The space looks more like it’s being used as a storage space, and nothing has been filed with the Department of Buildings to this point.
The other retail space in the building is occupied by Douglas Elliman.3
