The first (and only) time we’ve ever checked in at 40-40 27th Street, future home of a nine-story hotel, was back in April, 2015 when steel beams had just started rising from the site.1 When we checked back in last week, we saw that construction has moved along slowly since then, but it appears that the concrete foundation has been completed, as seen in the photo below. On-site signage calls for a December, 2015 delivery, so unless construction crews invent a time machine, this project will be severely behind schedule.
According to permits, the building will contain 70 residential units with a 600 square foot parking area and 24,981 square feet of space.2
