The last time we checked in on the former site of LIC Auto Repair on 44-12 Purves Street a/k/a 27-19 44th Drive, foundation work was underway.1 When we checked in over the weekend, we saw that excavation had finished, and construction has risen above the fence, as seen in the photo below. Signage on site says the project will be called “The Watermark” with an anticipated delivery date of summer of 2017.
According to permits filed in October 2014 first spotted by New York YIMBY,2 a 27-story building with 168 units (122,790 square feet) and a commercial space of 2,807 square feet will begin to rise soon.3
