A rendering appears at 42-22 27th Street

The last time we checked in at 42-22 27th Street, former site of the Korea Times, demolition had just wrapped.1 When we stopped by last week, we saw that a rendering had appeared on site, as seen in the photo below. Work hasn’t started yet, but we expect that to change soon.

Permits, first spotted by The Real Deal,2 were filed calling for 114,801 square feet of residential space and 20,304 square feet of commercial space with a total FAR of 5.54 which were approved in March.3 There will be 15 stories with 99 units. Permits were approved on June 4, 2015. Simon Dushinsky’s Rabsky Group is in charge of the project.

  1. This site has open violations, including for working on weekends without a variance. Even during the week, the construction is deafeningly loud as they do no noise mitigation of ram hoe work.
