When we stopped by 27-01 Jackson Avenue, a/k/a 27-19 43rd Avenue, former home of Gas Trac in January, it appeared that work was about to start on the site.1 Last week, we stopped by and we saw that not much has changed since then. Although there are construction vehicles and material on the site, excavation has not started yet.
Permits call for 7,090 square feet of commercial space and 65,238 square feet of residential space. The building will rise 15 stories and house 88 units.2 It’s worth noting that the approved permits are in contrast to previous renderings uncovered by 6sqft, where the projected build was supposed to be 30 stories.3
