We last checked in on 26-19 Jackson Avenue in June, when we spotted a pair of construction permits for the former site of See.Me art gallery.1 The space has been vacant since then, but last week, we saw construction crews installing a temporary construction fence in preparation for a new store front being installed, as seen in the photo below.
The first permit calls for: “FILING FOR THE INSTALLATION OF A NEW STOREFRONT, NEW ADA RAMP, NEW RATED PARTITIONS AND NEW EGRESS DOOR IN THE REAR. AS SHOWN ON DRAWINGS FILED HEREWITH. NO CHANGE IN USE, EGRESS OR OCCUPANCY.”2
The second is related to the first filed permit: “FILING FOR THE INSTALLATION OF A TEMPORARY CONSTRUCTION FENCE TO PROTECT THE PUBLIC DURING NEW STORE FRONT SCOPE. NO CHANGE IN USE, EGRESS OR OCCUPANCY.”3
No replacement tenant has been confirmed yet.
