Environmental team visits 24-19 Jackson Avenue

The last time we were at 24-19 Jackson Avenue was in March, when we noticed that construction crews were working to repair the plywood fence on site.1

Last week, we saw that an environmental drill truck from Craig Waterwell & Drilling was on site doing work. The most recent permits filed on the site are for the plywood fence.2 Perhaps some day, the 35-story Tokyo Inn hotel that was planned back in 2009 will finally be built.3

  1. There was a similar drill team over in The Lot, next to M. Wells last week. I really hope that doesn’t mean what I think it means.

    • Agreed, Amadeo. Now that the canyon walls are all pretty much up around that triangle, I feel like the best, albeit unlikely, option would to convince Rockrose to raze the remaining buildings and turn it into a full sized park, complete with a fenced dog park and surrounded by the re-exposed Belgian blocks. It could be the crown jewel of Court Square, designed properly.
