Just last week, we stopped by the future home of Chipotle at 26-14 Jackson Avenue, noting that construction was moving along at a quick pace.1 When we stopped by over the weekend, we saw that signage is up for the Mexican-style eatery. Plans were for construction to finish on Aug. 9, but it doesn’t appear that crews will be that far behind on that deadline. A source told The Court Square Blog that Chipotle is aiming for a late September opening.
Permits were approved on the site on May 17, and another permit was filed on July 27 to “ERECT ILLUMINATED ACCESSORY BLADE SIGN ON WALL (CHIPOTLE).”2 The story was first reported by our very good friends over at LICTalk in September.3
