Thanks to tipster Mickey D., who let us know that Re Pub LIC  50 at 10-09 50th Avenue closed recently. Yelp also lists the former tavern as closed.¹ According to its (still functional) website, “Republic is a locally owned tavern in the center of LIC. We host a variety of weekly events with a kitchen open late.”² No one answered at a phone number previously listed.
