42-22 27th Street begins to rise

The last time we checked in at 42-22 27th Street, former site of the Korea Times, was in October, when excavation work was nearly complete.1 When we stopped by last week, we saw that foundation work has completed in certain areas of the site, and rebar is beginning to sprout, as seen in the photos below.

Permits, first spotted by The Real Deal,2 were filed calling for 114,801 square feet of residential space and 20,304 square feet of commercial space with a total FAR of 5.54 which were approved in March.3 There will be 15 stories with 99 units. Permits were approved on June 4, 2015. Simon Dushinsky’s Rabsky Group is in charge of the project.
