The last time we checked in on 26-20 Jackson Avenue was in December of 2015, when we noticed that signage had appeared in the retail space.1 When we stopped by last week, we saw that the signage has been taken down, and construction paper has been put up on the windows, as seen in the photo below.
We spoke with Troy Allen, the Modern Spaces real estate agent handling the space, and he said in an email to The Court Square Blog that the space will turn into a dry cleaner.2
The spot was originally reported to have been claimed by Michelin Star restaurateur Danny Brown, but according to a report in September 2015, that deal fell through.3

Construction appears imminent at 26-20 Jackson Avenue
A neighborhood amenity!? Gasp!
I hope it’s an organic dry cleaners. Otherwise, useless.

I hope it’s organic too. The management company is already coming into our apartments without notice for an “unplanned inspection.” Can’t wait for the chemicals to filter up into our kitchen. :/
