We were entering the Court Square subway station earlier in the week when we noticed a new LinkNYC kiosk installed in front of the station. According to the website, “LinkNYC is a first-of-its-kind communications network that will replace over 7,500 pay phones across the five boroughs with new structures called Links. Each Link provides superfast, free public Wi-Fi, phone calls, device charging and a tablet for access to city services, maps and directions.”1
A second LinkNYC kiosk is located in front of MoMA PS1, though neither have WiFi capability yet.2
