The last time we stopped by 42-83 Hunter Street in April, facade work was underway.1 When we stopped in last week, we saw that construction crews have finished that, and have peeled away scaffolding to reveal the exterior, as seen in the photo below.
Permits approved by the Department of Buildings on March 12, 2015 call for an 8-story, 15 unit purely residential build with a FAR of 4.93.2 That works out to 12,336 square feet of residential space. New York YIMBY first spotted the permits back in December 2014, which were filed right before the new building code took effect.3
