The last time we checked in on the former site of LIC Auto Repair on 44-12 Purves Street a/k/a 27-19 44th Drive was in August, when the building’s leasing gallery opened.1 Recently, construction crews took down plywood fencing on the ground floor, revealing the lower floor. Additionally, there’s now signage on the ground floor retail space advertising 2,475 square feet of retail space with an outdoor garden, as well.
According to permits filed in October 2014 first spotted by New York YIMBY,2 a the project is a 27-story building with 168 units (122,790 square feet) and a commercial space of 2,807 square feet.3
