The last time we stopped by 42-83 Hunter Street in August, construction crews had taken down pipe scaffolding to reveal the outside facade.1 When we stopped in last week, we saw that signage has appeared on site for ‘Canvas LIC,’ which is being sold by ModernSpaces.
Permits approved by the Department of Buildings on March 12, 2015 call for an 8-story, 15 unit purely residential build with a FAR of 4.93.2 That works out to 12,336 square feet of residential space. New York YIMBY first spotted the permits back in December 2014, which were filed right before the new building code took effect.3
